Bizarre Cubiques

During the course of work relating to studies of
time and place, another theme started to emerge.
The sculptures began to grow out from the wall and in to the real space. It  became more than a mere illustrative effect. The construction itself wanted to take over and make its own statement. This work became more about the different panels coming together to build a representation of simultaneous perspective. It evolved into sculptures that were “full of little cubes”.

It is my intention to further explore different possibilities in this area. I am moving towards making each individual panel more abstract by breaking down the object into smaller and smaller fragments. This done,  I am then reassembling those, tiny moments of time, into three dimensional sculptures to evoke those same figures or objects from different points of view.
